
Shawanaga’s Lands and Resource Department has been focusing on conservation and restoration projects on the land and water for over a decade. With a strong focus on species at risk and resource management, the SFN team has a large variety of skills and resources to share and collaborate.

We empower communities to protect local waterways with continuous, real-time monitoring technology. By providing accessible tools and actionable insights, we enable volunteers to track water quality, understand environmental impacts, and drive data-informed actions to preserve natural resources.

Our Living Waters (OLW) drives collaboration as a nation-wide initiative uniting a network of 200+ water leaders across Canada who work toward the common theme of “all waters in Canada in good health by 2030.”

An environmental charity dedicated to revive and heal Junction Creek, the central urban waterway of N’swakamok/ Greater Sudbury, through collaborative stewardship, stream monitoring, environmental restoration, education, and outreach.

I respectfully acknowledge this Sacred Land as Niibing (it is summer) on western shores of Ktichigaming, Anishinaabeg traditional homelands. It is between Animikii-Wiikwedong (Thunder Bay) of Fort William First Nation, and Gichi Onigaming (Portage) of Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
