I respectfully acknowledge this Sacred Land as Niibing (it is summer) on western shores of Ktichigaming, Anishinaabeg traditional homelands. It is between Animikii-Wiikwedong (Thunder Bay) of Fort William First Nation, and Gichi Onigaming (Portage) of Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

The Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup, an initiative of Pollution Probe and the Council of the Great Lakes Region with support from a network of collaborators, combines the piloting of plastic capture technology, data collection and community engagement to address plastic pollution in the Great Lakes.
